Unit 4 - introduces the core concepts of computer networking and cyber security. It covers the basics of computer networks, networking goals, ISO-OSI reference model, and the functions of different layers. The unit also explains internetworking concepts, networking devices, and the TCP/IP model, along with an introduction to the Internet, World Wide Web, and e-commerce. Additionally, it focuses on computer security basics, including viruses, worms, malware, Trojans, spyware, and anti-spyware software. Various cyber attacks such as denial of service, email spoofing, information theft, hacking, spamming, cyber stalking, cyber defamation, and pharming are discussed. The unit also highlights security measures like firewalls, good computer security practices, computer ethics, and an introduction to cyber laws related to internet fraud.
